Know about the criteria of becoming a licensed professional counselor- California

A Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is a master’s level license to practice counseling services in California. As far as educational qualification for becoming a LPCC is concerned, an individual needs to attain a master level degree in counseling. This is a minimum education criteria for licensure.

Those who completed their graduation need to consider the further available educational alternatives and also to ensure the course that they choose in fulfilling some compulsory requirements for licensure. Moreover, if your aim is to become a LPCC then it is vital to complete a course that includes 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of the coursework.

After successful  graduation,  a student needs to register  as an intern to obtain supervsion hours. Once you receive supervised professional experience, you can then start taking  the exam for licensure.
